Monsters!

Evaluation:

The following documents must be handed in and saved in the class folder:

the print-out of the Introduction Quiz and the Lyrics Quiz
your article for the Encyclopedia of monsters (approx. 100 words)
your interview on "specific information" about your monster (min. 5 questions and answers)
your short summary of one interesting monster story (literature or movie)
your monster word-list (30 words minimum)
any other interesting or useful resources or information you have found

These documents must be complete and handed in on time!

Of course, you have to make sure that your presentation is ready on time, as well! Your presentation will be evaluated on the following criteria:

time-frame (10-15min maximum)
presentation skills (material, pictures, usage of equipment like OHP, powerpoint, blackboard, flip chart etc.)
speaking skills
content (presentation of the interesting facts and answers to questions)
handout (one or two A4 page)

The evaluation Rubrics are the following:

PRESENTATION:
time frame	time frame not respected at all (more than 5mins too short or too long)		time frame respected
presentation skills	No pictures or extra material added. Equipment is barely used. The presentation is rather stiff and un-organised.	The group shows attempt at implementing extra material. The usage of equipment still needs some improvement. The presentation is organised.	Presentation is ‘spiced’ with pictures, extra material and useful visual aids. Group uses the equipment in an appropriate way. The presentation has a natural flow.
speaking skills	No free speaking takes place (just reading from notes).	The group shows a good attempt at speaking freely. Level of English still needs some improvement.	All group members speak freely, only rarely using their notes. Good level of English.
content	Most relevant issues haven’t been talked about. Tasks not fulfilled.	Many of the relevant issues have been talked about.	All the relevant questions have been answered and talked about. Priorities have been set.
handout	No handout.	Handout contains some input and layout requires some improvement.	The handout contains all the important input and has a good layout, incl. pictures.
